The Mandala Method

For many years, the mandala has been at the heart of my work as an artist. I have always experienced the circle as more than a form to create within. It can be a way of going inward; of seeing, feeling and discovering what is there.

Over the past year and a half, I have deepened this exploration through the Mandala Method, a contemplative practice that brings together ancient Buddhist wisdom and insights from Western psychology.

In September 2026, I completed my training and became a Certified Mandala Method Facilitator through Tara Mandala.

What is the Mandala Method?

The Mandala Method is a practice for working with difficult emotions, inner conflicts and recurring patterns that we encounter in everyday life.

At its heart is a simple but powerful idea: we don’t need to get rid of our difficult emotions.

Anger, insecurity, jealousy, craving, denial; rather than seeing these emotions as ‘bad’, we learn to recognize them and become curious about them.

The mandala becomes a map of the psyche.

Through meditation, visualization, awareness practices, colour and light, we explore our habitual patterns and the wisdom that may be hidden within them.

Anger, for example, can transform into clarity. What we tend to ignore can become a wider awareness. Desire can develop into the ability to discern what we truly need.

This creates something very important:

choice.

Instead of automatically responding to a difficult situation from an old pattern, we can pause, become aware of what is happening and discover another way of responding.

For me, that is the beauty of the Mandala Method.

We don’t get rid of our difficult emotions. We learn to transform them, so that we can respond from our wholeness again.

Where I am now

My certification isn’t an ending. It feels much more like the beginning.

Over the coming months I am completing my remaining meditation and practice hours, while exploring how the Mandala Method can become part of what I already do; creative workshops, meditation, coaching and my work in the atelier.

And for that, I need to practice. 🙂

Would you like to practice with me?

Until the end of the year, I’m looking for a small number of people who are curious to experience a guided Mandala Method practice with me.

Sessions are one-to-one, either online or here in my atelier in the Dordogne.

You don’t need any experience with meditation or drawing. Just some curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Curious? Send me a message.

A strong sense of oneness is felt with all things…
